Capturing Lost Yoga Studio Clients Post-Pandemic

The Challenge

Afterglow is a community-driven wellness space that not only offers yoga classes, but also fitness classes and various wellness events and workshops. They have a strong presence in the community and offer classes and trainings for kids, as well as unique lectures on various health topics. Recovering from the Covid-19 pandemic, Afterglow was looking to bring back lost members and increase their auto-pay revenue. They were also seeing a significant number of clients not return after their first visit, and a retention plan needed to be implemented.

 

The Strategy

Our goal was to put more focus on their marketing and outreach strategies. We started with a restructuring of the pricing model to make the intro offer more enticing and to encourage clients to transition to memberships vs. class packages. We implemented a robust email marketing strategy to nurture leads and rescue lost clients, and create more of a relationship with the clients via email and SMS.

 

The Result

The studio is seeing clients return at a much faster clip, and the percentage of auto-pay revenue has increased from 19% of total sales to 35%. First visitors increased (and more first visitors purchased the intro at 86%) while lost clients (no visit after first visit) decreased from 50% of first visitors to 25% by fall of 2022.
