About Form By Two
Form By Two opened in Princeton Shopping Center after co-founders Jackie Woo and Robyn Huon each found their way to Pilates through injury. Woo had a lumbar disc problem tied to years at a desk, while Huon had spinal and shoulder injuries she'd been managing with reformer work since 2001. Both became certified instructors, later finding Lagree, and came together to build a studio around the idea that these two methods solve different, specific problems. Pilates is for precision and rehab; Lagree is for strength and endurance. And form is the connective tissue between them.
Form By Two is currently the only Lagree studio in the Princeton area, though it shares the market with many reformer Pilates studios. Their class format is small, but Form By Two is mid-renovation on a buildout slated to open in Fall 2026 with a dedicated reformer room, a multi-purpose room for mat work, and upgraded amenities across the board.
What They Do Best
Form By Two runs two Lagree class formats (Foundations and All-Levels) taught on the MegaPro machine, both built around slow, controlled, spring-and-cable-loaded resistance that keeps tension on the muscle through the entire range of motion. Foundations is the mandatory entry point for any new client, Lagree veteran or not, but that doesn’t mean it's not a watered-down version of the workout. It's the same demanding, low-impact-high-intensity format, just taught with extra attention to alignment and muscle sequencing before the pace picks up. All-Levels builds from there with more movement variety and higher intensity, while staying modifiable for the range of bodies in the room.
On the Pilates side, the studio skips group classes entirely and offers private and duet reformer sessions, supporting their precision ethos. The instructors give individualized cueing that's harder to deliver at scale, while boasting a roster of instructors trained in specialized work like scoliosis, spinal fusion, and prenatal care.
The Experience
The studio's name is its mission statement. Form is listed first among their stated values, and it shows up in how the space is run with small class caps, hands-on correction, and a Foundations-only policy for first-timers regardless of prior Lagree experience elsewhere. New clients get a real onboarding rather than a rushed orientation: instructors walk-through the mechanics of the Mega and check on injuries or limitations before the class starts. Foundations classes move at a pace that's appropriately scaled for first-timers without losing intensity; spring tension and slow tempo do the work, and modifications are offered up or down as needed.
What stands out is the attention level: with class sizes capped low, instructors get to nearly everyone for hands-on adjustment and individualized cueing. The current facility is functional, no frills, but it doesn't get in the way of the workout. Both co-founders are visibly present on the floor, greeting regulars by name, embracing a community feel that enhances the experience.
What Makes Them Special
Mandatory Foundations: Every new client, regardless of Lagree experience elsewhere, starts in a Foundations class before being cleared for All-Levels.
No group Pilates: Reformer Pilates is private and duet-only, trading class volume for individualized instruction with specialized therapy modalities.
Owner-taught classes: Both co-founders teach regularly and are present on the floor for walk-ins and regulars alike
Why We Love It
Woo and Huon built a studio out of their own injuries and the slow road back to strength. That origin story is written in the name - a focus on form in two formats. The modalities do not bend for ego. They’re built for real flexibility, strength, and functional movement practice. The current space is unglamorous, but the expansion underway suggests a studio that's investing growth back into the experience. In a market saturated with reformer studios, Form By Two took a chance on a niche focus and it’s exactly what keep clients coming back.
