About You

We are looking for an energetic, self-motivated, and savvy Studio Consultant to join our mission of helping boutique fitness and wellness studios thrive by building community, increasing attendance and driving sales.

This team member will be responsible for working directly with our clients in a consulting capacity, delivering the data-driven business assessment and forward-thinking, innovative marketing solutions that Telomere is known for. The ideal candidate will have extensive marketing experience, studio management or consulting experience, as well as excellent communication and organizational skills.

This role involves an extensive amount of strategy as you help studio owners navigate everything from pricing structure to staffing, marketing strategy and vision. You will help them create and achieve their goals while embodying Telomere's values of being detail-oriented, outside-the-box thinkers who know how to succeed in this ever-changing industry.

What Makes You a Perfect Fit

Industry Expertise: This position requires an extensive understanding of the operations of single and multi-location boutique fitness studios across various modalities (yoga, Pilates, barre, HIIT, bootcamp, spin, martial arts, personal training, etc.). We are looking for someone who has worn all of the hats—from instructing to managing—and understands the unique challenges and opportunities in the wellness industry.

Strategic Mindset: You'll need to see both the details and the bigger picture, adapting strategy to every studio's unique universe. You should be curious, keen to problem-solve, and driven by the desire to help clients thrive by turning every challenge into an opportunity.

Communication Excellence: This position requires direct communication with clients via regular meetings. These meetings will require collaborative thinking, out-of-the-box ideas, and the ability to deliver key analytics driven by the overall goals and objectives of the client. You should be able to offer clients a sense of calm even in the face of stress, guiding them to solutions through thoughtful insight and learned experience.

Growth-Oriented: You'll work directly with our entire team and will include some management responsibilities. We are looking for a team player who enjoys collaborating and working with a group to bring ideas to fruition and who can actively assist the team in Telomere's continued growth.

Position Overview:

As a Studio Consultant at Telomere, you'll be responsible for delivering our proven methodology that has helped hundreds of studios increase customer acquisition, improve retention, and drive sales. You'll combine data-driven business assessment with innovative marketing solutions, always striving for continuous improvement while maintaining our high standards of service.

Qualifications:

• Previous studio management or consulting experience is required

• 1-3 years of studio management experience across various boutique fitness modalities

• Strong understanding and in-depth knowledge of marketing strategy specific to the wellness industry

• Experience with data-driven business assessment and turning metrics into actionable strategies

Client Management:

  • Manage various accounts and serve as the lead consultant providing guidance, strategy and goal-setting for the clients you serve

  • Conduct comprehensive data-driven business assessments to identify growth opportunities

  • Lead 1:1 calls with clients, offering thoughtful insight and learned experience in a constant, reliable manner

  • Guide clients through our proven methodology for increasing acquisition, improving retention, and driving sales

Strategic Development:

  • Have ideas and create engaging, fresh strategies for your clients across all areas of studio operations - demonstrating a proactive approach at all times

  • Develop tailored solutions based on industry-wide knowledge, sales and marketing expertise

  • Help clients navigate pricing structure, staffing decisions, marketing strategy, and vision development

  • Feel comfortable demonstrating ROI of strategies and initiatives to show how they are impacting key metrics

Collaboration and Growth:

  • Work collaboratively with our team of previous studio owners, studio managers, fitness professionals, and communications experts

  • Assist in Telomere's growth by bringing innovative solutions and maintaining our reputation for excellence

  • Contribute to our mission of helping as many yoga, fitness and wellness studios thrive as possible

You’ll need to:

Technical Proficiency:

  • Have 1-3 years of studio management experience and familiarity with various platforms (see below)

  • Extensive experience with studio management software, such as MindBody, Momence, Walla, Arketa and Mariana Tek

  • Experience with email marketing platforms, such as Brandbot, Mind Body Marketing Suite, Mailchimp, Flodesk and ConvertKit (this is a plus)

  • Digitally-literate, including Microsoft and Google products

Professional Skills:

  • Be accustomed to working on multiple projects with different deadlines simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail

  • Dynamic, professional, able to communicate effectively and enthusiastically on video calls and in writing with the rest of the team and our clients

  • Be confident that you are detail-oriented and can see both the specifics and the bigger picture

  • Self-starter with a positive attitude who enjoys working proactively and thinking creatively

  • Experience in managing multiple stakeholders to obtain information and receive sign-off and feedback on content and concepts before implementation

Industry Knowledge:

  • Deep understanding of the boutique fitness and wellness industry landscape

  • Knowledge of customer acquisition and retention strategies specific to studios

  • Understanding of community building and engagement tactics for wellness businesses

  • Familiarity with the unique operational challenges of single and multi-location studio businesses
