The Challenge

Rebel Ride is a boutique cycling and fitness studio in Buffalo, NY. Although first and foremost a cycling studio, Rebel’s offerings also include group fitness  classes such as yoga, circuit training and TRX in a dedicated space known as “Studio B.” With those classes routinely waitlisted, owner Erika knew it was time to expand and took the opportunity to upgrade the space with infrared technology. Before the Grand Opening of the expanded space, we stepped in to take the logistics of an expansion off of her plate and ensure that not only her existing audience but also the surrounding community would be informed and excited about the new Rebel Ride. In addition to end-to-end marketing implementation, Erika leaned on Telomere to review operational workflows and refine pricing to best position the new studio space for long-term success.

The Strategy

We took ownership of every aspect of the pre-expansion strategy and carried it through the official Grand Opening weekend. Our team created and implemented a multi-channel plan that included paid ads, social content, email newsletters, events, promotions and automations to showcase the new infrared studio and expanded class offerings. Simultaneously, we advised on class pricing, membership packaging, and operational efficiencies to ensure the expanded schedule could be delivered smoothly and profitably. Our goals were to build excitement and loyalty among their existing clientele and create awareness and enthusiasm in the surrounding community.

The Result

Rebel Ride’s Grand Opening boasted an 80% utilization rate for heated sessions and a 50% increase in overall class attendance.  The weekend’s events provided a 43% increase in revenue over average weekends. In addition, intro offer sales increased by 52.9% in the first 14 days of the month and consistent engagement and advertising on social earned the studio more than 200 clicks and 1.7k profile visits in four weeks. With pricing updates and operational systems in place, the studio has set itself up not just for a successful launch, but for sustainable growth.
